Chris and Jimmy are passionate about adding development projects that will be looked at for years to come as an example of good stewardship of land use in the Coastal NC area. They have combined their individual strengths to create a company environment where the focus is always on delivering well thought out projects that add value to the communities they serve.
Jimmy Hopkins
A North Carolina native, Jimmy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His family has been residents of Wilmington for more than two decades. Jimmy began is real estate career in 2006 and has consistently been a top producer during that time.Since beginning his career in real estate, Jimmy has focused on new developments and new home construction which led to his partnering with Chris to start American Coastal Development. Prior to his career in real estate, he spent more than 15 award winning years in the design/home furnishings industry. Jimmy loves the opportunity to work in the coastal area of his home state and to combine his design, development/construction and real estate backgrounds into a career. He is equally passionate about giving back to the community and currently serves on the Coastal HorizonsCenter, Inc. Board of Trustees and The Wilson Center Advisory Board. He has also served on a many other boards and commissions in the area over the past two decades including the Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees, Step Up Wilmington, Habitat for Humanity, the Wilmington Historic Commission, the Commissioning Committees of the USS North Carolina submarine and the USS Gravely destroyer.
Chris Dunn
Chris has an extensive background in operations, logistics and strategic growth planning, having already helped create more than eighteen startup companies achieving unparalleled track records. Chris combines those years of experience to facilitate a precise front-end plan and a vision to force any possible hurdles that may come and a way to overcome those hurdles while maintaining the plan and profitability. Chris currently is the owner and/or partner in several businesses located in Southeastern NC. Chris grew up in Texas where he attended Baylor University. He moved to Wilmington over a decade ago where he and his family have set roots in the community. He is an advocate and supporter of numerous charities in the area including Coastal Horizons Center, Inc., The American Heart Association, The Willie Stargell Foundation, Cape Fear Community College and numerous charities serving Veterans including Wounded Warrior Project. Chris is also the father of twins, Maggie & Noah, who are the greatest joy in Chris’s life.
